Kim Anderson, PMP

Kim Anderson is a Compliance Auditor and Project Manager for Risk Management (Walmart).   She oversees and assists with several tax and payment projects.  Originally from Iowa, Kim graduated from college in Illinois, where she taught elementary school for a year.  She moved to Northwest Arkansas to be near her family, and began working at Walmart as an administrative assistant in March, 2004.  Two years later, she transferred to Risk Management as a Case Manager, handling high profile bodily injury claims and five years later transitioned into her current role.

Kim served as Director of Administration for Northwest Arkansas Project Management Chapter after obtaining her PMP in June 2013 and enjoyed working with the board for a short time.   After getting married in December 2014, she took time off to focus on her new marriage.   Now, she is volunteering once again to serve as VP of Finance for the next year.

Kim's passions include teamwork, self-improvement, family time, bicycling, and cooking.  While she may not have as much time to bicycle since marrying, she definitely practices her culinary skills now more than ever!

 

 Cynthia Cooper

Cynthia Cooper, CSM, MBA, PMP®

 Cynthia Cooper is a creative strategist that believes in the empowerment of others through education.  She holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Webster University of Missouri and received her undergraduate degree from Xavier University of Ohio in Business Administration and Information Systems Technology.  In her professional journey, she has focused her career on global system implementations initially as a technical expert and most recently as project manager and consultant.  Her passion is being a life-long learner who shares her knowledge and expertise through leadership, mentorship and servitude.   She has used her professional and educational expertise for the past seven years as a technical project manager and senior business consultant for Walmart, Inc.

 In her personal life, she expands her creative nature is a self-taught illustrator, musician and amateur photographer.  She enjoys spending time with her family and 4 sons located in Cincinnati Ohio and the Northwest Arkansas area.  She currently serves as the Education Chairwoman for PSNWA, (Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas).  She also serves as the Director of NWA PMI Communications for our local chapter.  She recently completed the first NWA PMI-ACP pilot certification course in June 2016 sponsored by the local chapter.  It was a great class and I encourage everyone to enroll.  

Cynthia is seekng to serve in the position of Vice President of Communications.   Her engagement as the NWA PMI Director provided first hand experience with NWA project management community and the internal NWA PMI local chapter board operations.  She welcomes the opportunity to be your servant leader, as she believes she understands the project management community needs.

                                         

Cindy Ragan

 Cindy Ragan has over 25 years of Information Technology experience which includes 21 years she spent working for the University of Florida and over 15 years of managerial experience.  Cindy joined Walmart in 2008 working in the ISD Security and Compliance Team where she utilized process improvement and project management skills to support cross functional teams on various projects.   Late 2012, Cindy re-joined the ISD Security and Compliance Team as their Customer Relationship Manager.  Cindy’s goal is to utilize her networking and training skills, educational mindset, leadership skills and over 15 years of managerial experience to promote collaboration, teamwork, continuous improvement and process maturity.  She is a graduate from University of Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering - Computer Information Sciences and a graduate from Webster University with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).  She holds numerous certifications that include Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Systems Auditor and Project Management Professional .  She is currently working on her PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification.

 Cindy serves as the Treasurer of Northwest Arkansas Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), Membership Director for Fayetteville Arkansas ISACA and the Vice President (VP) of Finance for the Northwest Arkansas Project Management Institute Association (NWA PMI).  In the past Cindy has been the Director of Education and VP of Education for NWA-PMI.  She says she has patiently been waiting for the VP of Membership for NWA PMI to become available when she could run for this position as she is passionate about growing the membership of the NWA PMI chapter. 

 Cindy was born and raised in Florida and spent most of her life in Gainesville, Florida.  She is an avid Gator fan and a lifetime member of the University of Florida Alumni Association.  Cindy is married and has a boxer named “Rusty” and a cat named “Ms. Purrfect”, who live with the family in Holiday Island where Cindy and Rick took up residence when they purchased a property management business (Island Rentals) and relocated from Florida in 2006.

 

 

 Manos Stergen, PMP

Manos Stergen is an American Greek and native of Missouri. He grew up outside of the St Louis area. Manos moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2000. He completed Bachelors in Organizational Management at John Brown University in 2009. Prior to getting his bachelors Manos worked residential development projects in Northwest Arkansas. Often developing subdivisions and building homes and that were purchased by Walmart employees and vendors. Manos enjoyed their people and culture. When housing slowed, Manos went to support Point of Sale (POS) QA in Walmart ISD. Where he got to share his passion for POS and technology. At the age 18 and 19 he integrated POS in his parent’s and brother’s restaurants. The first was a Greek food restaurant, of course. The second was a home style country cooking restaurant that specialized in fried chicken. Yum.

 Manos has supported Walmart at Rockfish. There he worked on apps for Work Force Services, Inventory Management, and the Walmart Spark app. Once again he interacted with the Walmart community to approve CPG vendors for the Spark app. Manos passed the PMP in 2013 went on to manage Walmart security projects at Wachter. He now has returned to POS as a Scrum Master and a Walmart associate. For fun Manos is often sailing on Beaver Lake. He crew’s for a racing sail boat. Working many positions on the boat and continuing to learn about sailing. Outside of sailing Manos also hikes, kayaks, enjoys roller coasters, camp fires with friends, reading about technology and business.   Manos is seekng to serve in the position of Vice President of Programs. 

 

Richard A. White, PMP, ITIL

Rick White is a 25+ year Information Technology professional with experience at Walmart and J.B. Hunt.  His experience includes managing projects and continuous process improvements.  During his early Walmart career, he was a Developer, Procurement Manager, International Cash Manager and Supervised the Internationalization Translator team.  He often says the highlight of that period was reporting to Mr. David Glass while in Treasury department.  He has represented a 4000-person division, worked on a Project Management Practices and Policies steering committee for two (2) years and now has oversight of the CA-Clarity Project Management System. 

 Rick is a native of Southwest Missouri and has spent his entire career in Northwest Arkansas.  He is a graduate of Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and Finance.  This is where he met his future wife with whom he will celebrate their 20th anniversary.  They are proud parents of a son and daughter and have three grandchildren.  His daughter and son in-law reside in Little Rock Arkansas where he is serving as a Senior Master Sergeant in the US Air Force.   Their son is attending their Alma Mata where he is expected to receive his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science in 2017.  Rick’s hobbies and passions include RC modeling, robotics, woodworking, metalworking, cross-country dual-sport motorcycling and building custom motorcycles. Rick is seekng to serve in the position of VP of Finance.

 Rick has a passion for extremes.  He often says, “You have to expect the most of yourself every day.  You have to do the most you can every day, if you really want to make a difference, you must drive this hard because when you are gone, you only leave your legacy.”
